- Call Himawari and describe what you need Tokyo's official medical information service helps you find clinics and hospitals that handle your language and your symptoms.
- Or check the official hospital list The Tokyo Metropolitan Government publishes an English list of hospitals that accept foreign patients, organized by ward. Call ahead — details change.
- For larger hospitals, look for JMIP accreditation JMIP-accredited hospitals are certified for accepting international patients, with interpretation and support systems.
- Bring your insurance card With health insurance, you pay 30% of the cost. No referral letter is needed for most clinics — you can go directly.
